Tesla Cybertruck Fans Made SpaceX NASA Crossover Version Moon Rover

SpaceX is one of five companies that are newly eligible to deliver robotic payloads to the lunar surface for NASA, via the agency’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program. SpaceX offers to do this work with Starship and Super Heavy, the reusable space rocket duo that the company is developing primarily to help humanity become a multi-planetary species.

And Starship could start putting NASA payloads down on Earth’s nearest neighbor quite soon, if all goes according to plan.

SpaceX does have one crewed Starship mission on its docket – a flight around the Moon booked by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who plans to take a handful of artists with him. That mission is targeted for 2023.

But what if you need to travel across the surface of the Moon? Which transport would be best used for this? For Twitter user Apollo, the answer is obvious – it will be Tesla Cybertruck, or as he calls it the CYBERMoonRover.

Traveling on the surface of another planet, or in this case the moon, requires mobility. And whether you are on Earth or at a distance such as the Moon or Mars, you need good tires to get your car from one place to another. This CYBERMoonRover used four large flexible wheels with rigid inner frames to prevent bending.

Cybertruck has a pressurized body that is designed to protect its passengers from the hostile environment. Also, it has a satellite antenna installed, because once on the Moon, you are unlikely to want to be without communication with the outside world.

If Tesla, in cooperation with SpaceX, will improve Cybertruck so that it becomes a vehicle for extraterrestrial surfaces, then I will say – Yes! This is a great idea!
